The C, B, & Q was the Railroad of my father.  Burlington Northern is the Railroad that I worked on but I still have a stronger affinity for the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy.

Track inspection motorcoach
44 Ton #9105 near Kewanee Illinois.  The conductors on the passenger trains use to announce this  stop in typical Conductor fashion - let the name of the town just go on forever...
"Keeeeeeeeewanee!"

My Dad died in 1991.  I still miss him.  He worked for the "Q" a long time.  I wish I would have had more train adventures with him.  Here you see him standing in front of the "Freedom Train" in the summer of 1976.  The repainted Southern Pacific GS-4 'Daylight' #4449.  The photo was taken if front of the old C, B.& Q depot [which was torn down in the late 80's].

Burlington and Santa Fe weren't the only railroads that ran near Galesburg.  The Galesburg & Great Eastern RR, was a part of the local area for a good many years.  here to add your text.
