Night shots of the Bachmann Great Northern 4-6-0 hauling a freight load for a change. Recently this engine's motor got fried when it derailed and sat on the track, smoking up a storm.  It is now being converted to a Mogul using LGB's Mogul chassis.
The future of the hobby....

Why Bill and Opus? Opus and Bill the Cat are favorites of the Lizard.  Their opposite sensitivities and demeanor are the Ying and Yang of the Cartoon World.
Maintenance train on the road to Galesburg.  Low light photo.  Nikon Camera set to "best Photo".  No Flash.  There is some blurring but I like how the settings captured the train and the lights.
Close up of Porter and rag/tag cars.
Tins shed off ramp in background for Train unloading.
Crossing the swollen wash.  This was taken after a downpour.  When the ground gets saturated, I have a nice river for about half a day.
The twins are 8 now. I have a 10 year old too.  Another one in hte Navy...The photo on the left is years old now.  The boys that are still here all help, in one way or the other, with the trains.  They are all good at putting them on tracks, throwing switches, and of course, back then, playing in the dirt.

They do break things. Oh well.  They are generally careful but I am not going to get all upset if they step on a $14.00 bridge.  The Bridge can be replaced - these are the memories of their lives...
