Here are some photos to help you determine what these gorgeous but long, streamline cars. The above photo shows two of the cars on an 081 Atlas O gauge track. The photo on the right show the cars on an Atlas 072 track.
Note the bottom left photo. This photo is a closer look at one of the cars on the 072 track. The bottom right shows the same car, from slightly above and to the right. You can see a distinct overhang on the 072 track.
Whether you like the look on 072 track is a personal preference. I slightly grimace at the overhange on the 081 track. I actually have the space on my layout of the 090 curve that Altas makes - a possible consideration for my outer mainline.
