Christmas brings out the kid in all of us and "Tux" is a real fan of the Christmas trains. This cat loves to lay in the middle of the Christmas Layout. Trains running and Whistles do not bother him at all! Obvious Train Lover...

MTH Zephyr Railking stops to pick up passengers. The sound on this unit is most impressive.
Anyone who likes trains, well...likes trains. The Lizard had O gauge long before the great oudoors. In typical fashion of the day, I had a Lionel set growing up. I am sure that the reason for this purchase, had to do with my Dad being a Railroad employee.
Well, I got back into because of two reasons:
My kids started watching "Thomas The Tank Train" Shows. Realy cool layouts in that show.
A "History of Lionel" Special on the Discovery Channel [or History Channel] - I can never remember. It was a cool show. So I started to hang out at trains stores. I splurged and bought a Lionel starter set. The rest, is history....
Above is one of the best cabooses made: The K-Line Gold line. These are getting
rave reviews. Even has a smoke unit and a flashing red light on the rear. Nice.
I run the O on MTH Real Trax. These assemble easily and have a plastic, fake road bed. Great for the Carpeting.
On the right, you can see the Christmas tree. All these photos, save for the one above where taken using natural light. Exposure time generally is .5 to 1.0 seconds on the NIKON 950 with f2.75.
I have recently purchased a California Zephyr set. All K-Line. The locos will arrive just before Christmas. I already have 6 passenger/baggage cars [the 21" K-Line Gold Zephyr set. The Burlington engines and cars were only released to the 10 K-Line "Super Stores". A very good bang for the buck versus the much more expensive MTH and Lionel. More photos on this purchase soon.
A permanent layout is currently being planned in the garage. It appears that
it will be about 12X20 and have no curves smaller than 054. I am trying to cram as much 072 curve track as I can get to fit.
The LiZarD AtTiTuDe Zephyr in front of the station.
The Christmas Village. This is a tradition. Every year we buy a couple of more buildings. K-Mart and Walmart sell wonderful Ceramic buildings for about $10.00 each.
I have about 7 Ogauge engines now. 3 Lionel, 3 MTH and 1 K-line. No high end operating system. Much like my Large Scale engines, I run what I like and don't hold to one brand. So far no quality issues...knock on wood.
