With the line getting major track work done - it was time to get some run time in....

The 3rd engine to run on the repaired line was the LGB Mikado - I had the boys bring it up from the garage [it took 3 boys, a Honda Quad and a John Deere trailer to do it - such a production they made of it!].  3 of the neighbors walked over to check it all out.  Troy - who works for BNSF - was pretty impressed.  He had never seen Large Scale engines run...
The Mike ran well - I have it for some time.  It's been a steadfast runner and didn't dissappoint.
Here is the rail end of the small consist I ran.  The end unit is the track cleaner.

Finally got the Mogul running.  I had just set it on the track and the invariable "Dinners Ready!" yell came from the front porch....drat!
So after dinner - I ran in the twilight.  Above was taken with the shutter set to about 1/4 seconds - no flash.
I added this to the consist.  Its a Hartland product that has been reapainted and customized with interior lighting and "Q" logo.
It was a wonderful evening and I ran way into the dark.  I look forward to more running and work tomorrow...
