Here is the Mini Mogul coming out of the tunnel. I am only pulling a single low sided gondola. These look great behind the 2-6-0. The details on this are just wonderful. The drive mechanism is tougher than the old 2-4-2's. It is not a strong puller.
Another engine that I have had since around Christmas was the Bachmann new 2-6-0 Mini-Mogul that some refer to as the "Indie". This small little loco is generally sold for a low, low price of about $99.00. For the price, I have never seen a nicely detailed little guy like this.The headlight has that Yellow look to it much like the 10th Anniversary Big Haulers. The packaging for this tiny loco is OVER the top. I haven't seen locomotive packaging this good for such an inexpensive loco. I can only say that it is analogous to LGB locomotive packaging.
Here is the innards of the locomotive. Note the glob of grease that is in the loco. Most of it is NOT on the gearing. I smeared it around after putting the bottom. The drive system is pretty nice.
