Paul has quite a bit of 1:20.3 rolling stock: He had the back of his SUV full of cars.   If memory serves me correct, he had :

4 D&RG Accucraft Gondolas [Plastic but NICE!]

The length of the consist was shortened due to some derailments. The boxcar directly behind the tender was fairly light and had trouble staying on the track with all that weight behind it This occurred in one specific section with a 10 ft. curve...

This engine has a very stiff suspension system.  The track ballasting will have to be very good.  Initially we had some derailments [due to the new track, soft ballast and the long consist.
The evening had long since set in when I started taking photos.  In this case,  we were using a single 60 watt light bulb to illuminate the area.  The Nikon camera had the flash turned off and I was using .5 to 1.0 second exposure settings.

Another informal run at the "LiZarD" to celebrate the demise of the 4 foot radius curves. Paul Gieske brought over his Accucraft K27 to run on the new line.
This engine is a big and hefty beastie.  Having 3 batteries inside certainly added to the weight.  The unit can run on track or battery power.  Paul uses RCS and we initially fired it up running the engine on batteries.

This engine has a 24 volt motor so the 3 batteries in it approximated 18 available volts [correct me if I am wrong, Paul].  The RCS hand held unit performed very well and generally speaking - 15 to 20  foot seemed to be the range on my layout - it just depended on where you stood on the layout.
This is a "wide" 1:20.3 unit.  My initial concern was the the new line that on the north side.  It runs fairly close to the cinder block wall and the tunnel.   As suspected - the unit was too wide for my wooden tunnel portals.  Luckily these are easily removed.  Also, the LGB bridge was too narrow [the "girder" work on the sides] but I had another bridge at hand that replaced the former that had no such constrictions..
Notice that the tunnel portal is off the tunnel.  These are wide units that may require some modification to existing layouts.  10 foot diameter curves are the minimum suggested curves.
