"Hustle Muscle" above with another SD-45 rendering assistance. The consist was pretty long. These brutes pulled them with no effort. We found out later that a coupler was dragging the entire time. |
The Mighty SD-45 churning up the track. "Hustle Muscle". |
Brandy was kind enough to let the twins play in his yard. No damage done by the Podwojski boys. They really enjoyed playing in Brandy's future 'pond". Well, it's more like a lake. I am standing above, shooting down. I think they are in a hole that is about 6 ft. deep. |
Above is the control buttons and smoke unit under the "hood" of the SD-45. You will note that the smoke unit is very accessible and can easily be replaced. A very nice feature. Switches are recessed but the can be moved easily. |
Here is a colorfull lashup. Two Aristocraft Center Switchers [the first being Brandy's custom painted Great Nothern Blue, followed by Duncan's SP and the NW-2 in C,B&Q Blackbird colors. It took all three of these to pull the consist that the SD-45's were pulling. The NW-2 and Centercabs have very similar speeds so they lash up nicely. |
The GN F-3 with Sierra Sound. I was most impressed with the sound of this system. Brandy's upgrades include the LED light and a "Mars" light. When this was running down the track, in the early evening, it was uncanny how real it seemed. I regret that I did not get any night shots of this unit. |
The "Arizona Connection" had another informal meet last Saturday. I confess that it was self imposed at Brandy's place so we could all see his two new SD-45s. |
