The inside of the house was track power. Most of the outside seemed to be running on R/C except an LGB Cog line. 2 Fourney's, An FA/B lashup and a Shay where running. There was one accident...ooops! The FA/FB ran right up the butt of the Shay Log runner. The A unit took about a 2 foot tumble. No damage.
Just before the weather got real nasty here, there was an open house at the home of the manufacturer of Eaglewing Iron Craft items. Solid all metal bridges and other items. Quite a nice little day. The members of the Arizona Connection were all there...Brandy, Rodney and Duncan. Rodney was actually pretty humble considering he won the Photo contest this month at Mylargescale.com. Enjoy the photos...
OK
Can you believe this? Talk about elevation rise. The line has one cog line that is on an LGB auto return. The Mainline runs in circles under the mountain to lessen the grade. This is his showcase and his hobby line. There were about 200 people there. He gave tours of his house too. That is also Train Heaven!
The mountain was completed a mere 2 days before the event. Arizona Big Train Operators assisted in getting the event set up....
This event was held at Dan Hoag's house on April 21, 2001.
There are no less than 6 bridges inside. Look at the X over bridge! The indoor layout seemed to be controlled by a computer....nice!
